In my opinion, this is the best title in a very good and readable series The first two books were published during the fifties, and the remaining four titles, including this one, were written in the nineties, and published privately Girls Gone By publishers have done fans of this genre of literature a great favour by publishing the series at the time of writing, July 2012, only the first four titles have so far been published.

This is a modern addition by the original author to a 1950s school story series And it s very readable The main character is a new girl at the school, sent there by an aunt and uncle who couldn t care less for her It sees her settle into school life and rediscover some of her roots and history I enjoyed it a lot.

Really enjoyed this book MUCH better than 3rd in Series This was an enjoyable, mostly fresh story Alison, is left at school by an uncaring Aunt and Uncle who are glad to see the back of her She makes friends both in school and out, who show her, most people are caring and kind, she is worth something, and she finds her own niche.
