I never really got into this one The main idea God and Satan agree to send one agent each to Earth in order to battle for the future of humanity is never fully explored, or even explained We are given no idea what the agents powers are the demon spends most of his time stealing cars, while the angel does little other than visit people in hospital, help old men across the road, and other pitifully small acts of kindness It just meanders along in a plotless kind of way, with interminable s I never really got into this one The main idea God and Satan agree to send one agent each to Earth in order to battle for the future of humanity is never fully explored, or even explained We are given no idea what the agents powers are the demon spends most of his time stealing cars, while the angel does little other than visit people in hospital, help old men across the road, and other pitifully small acts of kindness It just meanders along in a plotless kind of way, with interminable scenes set in the San Francisco docks, where the angel works for no good reason There are a couple of good scenes once the two agents actually meet, including a fairly impressive one where the demon tries to tempt her into doing something bad, but it s too little too late, and only hints that the kind of book this could should have been

I liked the concept of the story, but not how it was developed.

Little moments that make you explode in audible laughter, little moments that make you tear up, little sections you pause to reread that is what I love about reading.

Ultimately, one of my favourite books I really loved the romance and the characters The fantasy elements were light but appreciated I expect that if I ever read it again now that I ammature and have readbooks I will probably findfault to the story but, who cares I remember loving it so much and I think it is a fantastic feeling remembering how much fun it was discovering the story.

The angel demon part was a bit off in this story because I thought it was just a cute love story Levy created a couple in which the demon Lucas , falls in love with the angel Zofia, the good and the bad, somewhat the opposites are attracted together I thought the character Lucas was very attractive, and if it would have not been of him, the story would have been pointless Overall, it was a funny, love, light hearted story to read

2.5 starsThis book was a little confusing and I think the reason was the translation There were things that didn t made sense, anyway it was ok But very confusing from the beginning till the end So I don t really have what to say about it, still trying to figure it out.

I liked the general idea of this battle between God and the Devil about who is entitled to rule over the earth It was also quite interesting that it took place in present day San Francisco. The story is not directly funny but sometimes subtly amusing Especially on Lucas part as he s so casually evil in everthing he does He also had some creative ideas to accomplish his mission.Zofia, however, seemed a bit weird I mean, she was doing good and so on, but that s not very exciting What I didn I liked the general idea of this battle between God and the Devil about who is entitled to rule over the earth It was also quite interesting that it took place in present day San Francisco. The story is not directly funny but sometimes subtly amusing Especially on Lucas part as he s so casually evil in everthing he does He also had some creative ideas to accomplish his mission.Zofia, however, seemed a bit weird I mean, she was doing good and so on, but that s not very exciting What I didn t get was her eating behaviour She pointedly never ate anything most of the time, but when she does her thoughts immediately jump to something like ah mah gaaaaaahhhd so many calories Ok I thought angles might have other problems She could have used that energy to work on her job, for example Most of the time she just commuted between the harbour and her flat. Then there is God I d imagine God as someone nice or so, but definitely not some moody boss The rest of this book was somehow a bit slow and confusing as well The temporal structure, some events, dialogues, etc were a bit elusive so it was a little hard to connect with the story
