    Dan CoholichEnglish Book ReviewAcademic English 107 January 2013 The book I read was an amazing and inspirational story called No Easy Game , which was written by Terry Bradshaw It truly was and inspirational story that I will never forget As many of you may know, Terry Bradshaw goes down as one of the best quarterbacks in Pittsburgh history, and was ranked number ten as footballs all time greatest quarterbacks The great thing about this story is that nobody knows how his life actually start Dan CoholichEnglish Book ReviewAcademic English 107 January 2013 The book I read was an amazing and inspirational story called No Easy Game , which was written by Terry Bradshaw It truly was and inspirational story that I will never forget As many of you may know, Terry Bradshaw goes down as one of the best quarterbacks in Pittsburgh history, and was ranked number ten as footballs all time greatest quarterbacks The great thing about this story is that nobody knows how his life actually started out Everyone who hasn t read this story probably thinks that he was a great ball player all throughout his life If you think this, then you re wrong Terry was a young boy who grew up in Shreveport and played Pee Wee football for their team in second grade He played lineman for his Pee Wee team and didn t like it at all When he was in middle school, he didn t even make the football team The coaches thought he was too small and un athletic Terry said he cried like a little baby when he got home that day After he was cut from the team, Terry worked his butt off to make sure nothing like that ever happened to him again Later in his life, he had made his high school football team, but did not start as quarterback until his junior season Luckily for Terry, he demolished his junior and senior season as quarterback and got a scholarship to go play football at Louisiana Tech After his football season at Tech, he got drafted into the NFL as the number one draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers From then on out, his career began to fall He threw an average of 4 interceptions a game his rookie season, and did not start most of the games because of his poor performances What happened next you say Well you are going to have to read to find out This book is an autobiography non fiction book I know this mainly because it is a true story told by the actual person, Terry Bradshaw Also, while reading this book, I found many interesting facts that caught my eye First off, did you know that Terry Bradshaw was never good at football when he was a little kid He was cut from his middle school football team, and sat the bench in high school for two years In the end, he worked his way up to become one of the best players in football all around Secondly, I came across something that also caught my eye In Terry s high school days, he used to do javelin as a second sport, and he was really good at it too He set the national record for throwing the javelin 243 feet and 7 inches Also, he won two State Championships for javelin, and was offered 200 hundred college scholarships for javelin I guess you could say that Terry had an act for throwing things Lastly, the fact that I found most interesting was that Terry Bradshaw was considering to quite football to become a Baptist minister Terry was a very religious man in his younger life and believed that was the way to go since the beginning of his football career didn t seem to look any good He changed his mind after things started to go his way in the NFL I would definitely recommend this book to my peers, but only to anyone who enjoys sports or just loves to read about inspirational stories I know that this story contains many true events that could help a fellow when he s down Terry talks about many times when he was embarrassed and just wanted to go home and cry Sometimes, he actually talked about how he would cry after some games and wouldn t be able fall asleep on some nights To some people football was just a game, but to Terry Bradshaw, football was a way of life
