This time Feluda took us to the great caves of Ellora and the trip was absolutely wonderful I also got to know some amazing facts about Pyramids here Every single Pyramid in Egypt has been made by approximately two hundred thousand stone blocks Doesn t sound a lot considering the size of the Pyramid but what completely takes me by surprise is the weight of these stone blocks i.e not less than fiftenn tonnes And they could not finish and placethan ten blocks in a day from whatever This time Feluda took us to the great caves of Ellora and the trip was absolutely wonderful I also got to know some amazing facts about Pyramids here Every single Pyramid in Egypt has been made by approximately two hundred thousand stone blocks Doesn t sound a lot considering the size of the Pyramid but what completely takes me by surprise is the weight of these stone blocks i.e not less than fiftenn tonnes And they could not finish and placethan ten blocks in a day from whatever has been found on the engineering in Egyptian civilisation which also means every single pyramid would have taken approximately six hundred years to complete I also realise now that once started, we should not leave Feluda book till it is over There are various, apparently small characters, who play a critical role at some stage so a gap in reading can make you go back and and look for them Once again, read it for the great Ray

Feluda was originally written by Satyajit Ray for the children s magazine Sandesh The popularity of the series was such that Ray went on to include a few adult themes in the later stories when he realized that even adults were enjoying the series.I actually read Feluda before Agatha Christie and as such Feluda was my introduction to detective fiction The best part of the stories is the evergreen manner of Ray s narrative I remember reading Baadhshahi Angti which was written in 1960s and w Feluda was originally written by Satyajit Ray for the children s magazine Sandesh The popularity of the series was such that Ray went on to include a few adult themes in the later stories when he realized that even adults were enjoying the series.I actually read Feluda before Agatha Christie and as such Feluda was my introduction to detective fiction The best part of the stories is the evergreen manner of Ray s narrative I remember reading Baadhshahi Angti which was written in 1960s and when I visited Lucknow in 1990s, I could still recognize the places described in the book The other thing that I loved about the series was that in every story we learned something new be it about geometry or about telepathy.Absolutely and irrevocably in love with Feluda and his adventures forever a fan
