    I wanted to read a book that would introduce me to the different political ideas and options that humanity has come up with as the best means of imposing some sort of mutually beneficial order on the chaos that comes of large groups of people with different interests interacting with one another This book wasn t a good choice I don t think I have ever given a book a one star rating and I rarely give books two star ratings but this book was too dense, too dull, and far too opaque for me to give I wanted to read a book that would introduce me to the different political ideas and options that humanity has come up with as the best means of imposing some sort of mutually beneficial order on the chaos that comes of large groups of people with different interests interacting with one another This book wasn t a good choice I don t think I have ever given a book a one star rating and I rarely give books two star ratings but this book was too dense, too dull, and far too opaque for me to give it anythan two stars As a didactic tool, it failed in its purpose 50 Political Ideas You Really Need to Know was a much better read but it had a different problem it was a little too light So I m still looking for a book Someone needs to write The Varieties of Political Experience stat
