Between 5th grade and 8th, I was addicted to what some folks call malt shop novels books written in the 1940s to the 1960s about teenage life Such fun books, although I ll admit to being disconcerted when I showed up to my first day of high school in 1973 and discovered that it was nothing at all like I expected I enjoyed rereading these stories.
