A war is going on inside me Between cancer and myself. But she won t fight alone Bruno will be by her side for better or worse He will help Callie understand that the most valuable gift from life is TIME Time is the most precious thing we have We blindly go through our days as if they re in infinite supply The only time we pay attention to time is when we re told ours is running out. Will Callie manage to prolong her timeI picked up Enshrine by Chelle Bliss on a whim I certainly did not expect this book to grow on me as much and as quickly as it did It grabs your attention from the first chapter or two and it keeps it until the very end By the end of each chapter, you thirst for the next one Finishing this book was a relief for me because now I can sleep well knowing that the story wrapped up positively for all the characters To be utterly honest with you, I was a little bit surprised and shocked to realise that the book is mainly about dealing with cancer and fighting for life You see, the description does not mention much about the book s theme and consequently, I was not mentally prepared for that heavy, as many would categorize it, subject However, my reading experience was not affected at all because the author handled this sensitive issue very gently and carefully A fierce round of applause to Chelle Bliss from me As far as characters are concerned, I was not completely fond of the two main ones until the second half of the book No, I was not indifferent I simply did not feel a connection to them until then I did not trust Bruno and I had my own suspicions about him At first, his behaviour towards Callie seemed odd and hurried to me and I did not understand his motives Callie, on the other hand, had given me the impression that she was a little bit immature and spontaneous As soon as I continued reading though, these thoughts about Bruno and Callie faded away Bruno Everybody calls him Bruno The Butcher He is dark, mysterious and dangerous Or so everybody thinks Because his other side is gentle, charming, caring, helpful and sweet The way he acted around Callie, the way he cared for her and gave her hope made me swoon like a teenager He deserves his place in my harem of book boyfriendsTDH Tall, dark, and handsome, Cal. Callie She went through a lot and I had so much sympathy for her Her suffering was heartbreaking It took a lot of time for her to adjust and deal with the news She did not have any energy and emotional strength to fight If it weren t for Bruno, she would be willing to give up.Cancer changed her to a major extent and by the end of the book she was an entirely different person She revaluated the worthy things in life and became wiser Instead of thinking about cancer as a curse, I realize that it will make everything sweeter Each moment left in my life, however long it may be, will be savored and never taken for granted again. Personally, I prefer books that make you think, that have a message to convey This read reminded me of how precious and priceless life is and I m immensely grateful for that

4 Overcoming all odds StarsI haven t read a Chelle Bliss book in a long time I actually haven t read one since her debut book, so I was very curious to how her writing style has changed. The one thing I really enjoyed when I read Enshrined was the dialogue It s a heavy dialogue based book and it s 100% my cuppa The writing flowed nicely and I really enjoyed the pace There was never a dull moment I liked how she developed the characters I felt the character s tension and mild angst.Callie is 4 Overcoming all odds StarsI haven t read a Chelle Bliss book in a long time I actually haven t read one since her debut book, so I was very curious to how her writing style has changed. The one thing I really enjoyed when I read Enshrined was the dialogue It s a heavy dialogue based book and it s 100% my cuppa The writing flowed nicely and I really enjoyed the pace There was never a dull moment I liked how she developed the characters I felt the character s tension and mild angst.Callie is at a crossroads in her life She s depressed and just doesn t know what to do I went into this book without knowing the premise and not like the premise gave anything away, but I was really intrigued by Callie s story She is in a bad situation and I was curious to how she would overcome it if she does.Bruno is not your white night He has a shady past and everyone thinks he is a bad guy BUT for some reason he ends up in Callie s life He s the one that will help Callie He s the one that will kick her butt and get her to smile again, even if she is kicking and screaming the whole way.Bruno is a strong alpha male character I like there is a bit of a mystery to him and I like how you don t know for sure if he is good for Callie, but him being so sweet to her, makes you want him Bruno and Callie s relationship is insta lust and then insta regret, but I really liked that It hooked you to the pages.Enshrine is a nice, no fuss, steamy read, great for a rainy day You can read it in one sitting and completely get your fixed on a sweet romance AN ARC was provided

I was not expecting this The blurb is severely lacking and the cover grossly misleading.I started Enshrine expecting fast paced action and some seriously hot chemistry I mean, the hot ass cover indicates some action, maybe mafia related, a muscled alpha badass and a mysterious, gorgeous h The blurb is just really vague and doesn t tell much about the plot So I was naturally intrigued Perhaps if I hadn t expected what I described above I wouldn t have been so disappointed There was absolutel I was not expecting this The blurb is severely lacking and the cover grossly misleading.I started Enshrine expecting fast paced action and some seriously hot chemistry I mean, the hot ass cover indicates some action, maybe mafia related, a muscled alpha badass and a mysterious, gorgeous h The blurb is just really vague and doesn t tell much about the plot So I was naturally intrigued Perhaps if I hadn t expected what I described above I wouldn t have been so disappointed There was absolutely no action whatsoever, the chemistry between the H and h was almost non existent Honestly, I simply cannot see why the H was even interested in the h She was bitchy, moody, whiny and she just made me depressed In her defense, she s dealing with a very heartbreaking situation and it s always easy to judge her reactions but impossible to relate to unless you ve actually been there But having said that, I just didn t get why the H was so invested in helping her from the get go, as she wasor less a stranger. The H is mysterious, so mysterious we never really find out what he does exactly Gahh. We know who he works for, but that s pretty much it I mean, when you give us a cover like that, I at least expect the storyline to involve his apparently dangerous occupation.I might have enjoyed this one better if I hadn t expected something completely different Perhaps my rating had been 1 2 stars higher, but because I feel so disappointed and kinda cheated, I can only give this 2 stars
